How Bella Medica Can Help
The professional staff of Bella Medica Laser Center is committed to helping people stop smoking and end their nicotine addiction. Bella Medica uses cold laser therapy to treat smokers for their nicotine addiction. This therapy is also referred to as laser acupuncture, photon stimulation, photobiostimulation (pst) or low level laser therapy (LLLT). Low Level Laser therapy is the application of a "cold" pure laser light to treat many conditions. Bella Medica utilizies the industries leader, THOR laser, more research is available at THORlaser.com.
The Power of Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is entirely safe and pain-free. A soft laser beam, applied to specific energy points of your body, stimulates the body’s production of neurochemicals. These are the natural body chemicals that have a calming, relaxing effect. When you stop smoking, it is primarily the sudden drop in neurochemical levels that leads to withdrawal symptoms and physical cravings. Laser therapy will help relieve you of these cravings as well as helping with stress reduction and lung detoxification. The treatment gives you a natural high with a sense of wellbeing, thereby greatly reducing the temptation to take another cigarette. As a result thousands of people have stopped smoking thanks to laser therapy!
How The Laser Works
Bella Medica Laser Center uses a class 3B laser that cannot cut, harm or burn the skin. The laser is designed to stimulate the central nervous system and cause an overproduction of the body’s natural chemicals. These chemicals significantly reduce or totally eliminate the pain and discomfort associated with withdrawal symptoms. These natural chemicals are endorphins, serotonin, dopamine, and other opiate like peptides.
Before you began to use tobacco, endorphins, serotonin and dopamine were released in your body on a natural time clock. When you began to use tobacco, the nicotine and other carcinogens cause a manual release of those same chemicals. The repetitive use of nicotine stops the body’s natural production of these chemicals. The body then waits for the nicotine before it will release the chemicals it needs. This therapy is designed to cause a sustained over-production of those same chemicals which in turn helps eliminate the pain and discomfort of the withdrawal symptoms you would have due to smoking cessation. The release of these chemicals lasts about 30-45 days. It serves 2 purposes:
1. The pain and discomfort of the withdrawal symptoms subside because the body has the chemicals it needs.
2. After 21 days, the brain will automatically time release these chemicals again.
The first 48 hours will be the toughest. It takes 48 hours for the chemicals in your body to reach the optimum level. Bella Medica recommends a second treatment between days 3- 5 due to nicotine/toxins being released from stored cites within the body. Try to refrain from things that you did in conjunction with tobacco. Example, if you had a morning coffee with a cigarette, replace that cup of coffee with water or juice. Wait an hour or so before you have your morning coffee. It is important to be aware of your environment and to change your routine. Booster treatments and natural supplements are available to ensure smoking cessation and avoid weight gain. It is possible to quit smoking with just one treatment! Break free of the nicotine addiction! This therapy aids in stress relief, weight loss, and promotes a positive feeling of well-being!
Counseling
Of course, even if relieved of the physical cravings of withdrawal from nicotine, many ex-smokers will initially be tempted to smoke on certain occasions because they find them stressful or simply because they associate certain activities with smoking a cigarette. It is to help with this more mental side of the addiction that Bella Medica provides advice on helping you adjust to being a non-smoker.
